Processor Accounting
In CPU Accounting we would normally
use utilities such as “top” and “xosview”
to check on the processor utilization.
Unfortunately these make themselves
available via “/proc”.
In some cases the rates are incorrect
and so may not be accurate enough or
report the true throughput of the CPU.
We examine the problem and with the
aid of simple patches show you how to
get the real answers.
