Function
According to the configured properties, the output module translates the
messages received via the network into switching actions. The device
provides four independent floating relay outputs (NO contacts).
The input module is suited for switching lamps and other electrical
consumer loads.
The general device status is indicated by the service and RUN LEDs.
By use of a button on the casing, the switching state can be adjusted
manually without application program being required. In this case, the state of the status LED
(controlled via the bus) and the state of the manually operated relay might differ.
The software application is based on the LonMark profiles.
3.
Mounting
The I/O Module has been designed as a device for DIN rail mounting.
Apart from bus voltage, no further power supply is required.
The network is connected via a 2-pole bus terminal clamp included in delivery which allows up
to 4 pairs of wires to be connected. The clamps are suited for conductor cross sections of 0.6 ..
0.8 mm² (solid wire).
To guarantee safety clearance between the bared bus wires and AC 230 V mains, the cable
cover included in delivery has to be plugged onto the bus terminal clamp.
The output cables (terminals: "L" or arrow icon) are connected via pluggable screw-type
terminals which are suited for cross-sections from 0.5 .. 2.5 mm². The terminals must not be
connected/ disconnected under load.
Different phase conductors can be connected to the outputs.
The eight outputs A .. H are suited for a switching current of 10 A each. The switching
contacts have to be protected by an upstream 10 A circuit breaker.
By pushing the service pin, the I/O Module is initiated to propagate its Neuron ID. The service
LED indicates the programming state.
To operate the device, an application program is needed.

!Warning:
Safety clearances according to DIN VDE 0110 Part 1 must be maintained. A clearance of at
least 4 mm must exist between individual 230 V conductors and the bus cables.
!Danger to life due to electric current:
Even when the manual switch is in the "OFF" position, a BUS telegram can switch power to the
connections at any time. Always deactivate/remove the upstream fuses before working on the
device.

Vibration during transport can switch on the outputs. Voltage may appear at the outputs when
mains voltage is applied!
To switch off outputs:
After commissioning, use bus telegrams to perform a switching cycle (on/off) or set the manual
switch to "OFF".

Warning:
Switching actuators might be damaged. Secure the switching contacts with an upstream 10 A
circuit breaker.
Connect the device according to the connection example. The consumer cables and the mains
voltage (L1, L2 or L3) are connected using screw terminals rated to a maximum of 10 A.

Remarks
Installation and assembly of electrical devices may take place only by an electrical specialist.
When planning and installing an electrical system the relevant standards, guidelines and
regulations of the respective country are to be considered. Beyond that the device specifications
are to be kept. For project engineering, assembly and line-up detailed expertise of the
LonWorks technology is presupposed.
The function of the device is software dependent. Only application programs may be loaded,
which are approved by Schneider Electric for this device.
The system integrator has to carry ensuring that the loaded application program and the
configured parameters in it correspond with the outside wiring of the device. This applies in
particular if for different use several application programs for a device are available.
