A piece of black origami paper and a little patience turns out
this cute little panda - perfect for all sorts of craft projects!
The folds are quite simple but there are a lot of them!
1. With colored side UP, fold your
square in half on the diagonal.
2. Fold in half again to crease, then
open out again.
3. Fold down one corner to the bot-
tom as shown ...
4. and then fold down the
other side.
5. Fold one of the flaps back up
again, creasing well.

6. Now fold up the other flap. 7. Fold the same flap back down an
out again, as shown. Do the same
to the other flap.
8. Your model should now look
like this.
9. Now we are going to start to
form the ears by lifting up that last
fold, opening it up (you can push
your finger inside to help) and then
...
10. creasing it back down again
into the position shown. It isn’t as
tricky as it sounds!
11. Do the same on the
other side.

6. Your model will look like this. Now
you need to blunt the ears by folding
in little triangles on all the points, as
indicated by the arrows.
7. Here you can see what it looks like
when we have blunted both ears.
8. Finally, we need to shape
the panda’s face by turning in
the outside edges ...
9. and turning up the bottom
corner ...
10. and turning down the top corner!
9. Flip over, and
decorate.
