So I think it’s really powerful that you all know
you can succeed in any topic you really want to,
yes?
Brendon :
Did your purpose change when you failed one
time in something, yes or no? It’s like, everyone
believes that you have this mission statement
that’s forever, I don’t believe that person,
because I think that ultimately -- yes, all of our
mission statements are very similar, it was given
to us.
Audience :
Yes!
Brendon :
Because could you research any area that you
really want to do, yes?
There is a purpose that was given to us, and it’s
obvious. Do you know what it is? Happy, love,
serve others; contribute. I mean I was thinking
this is like the obvious stuff; the big purpose
stuff. It was given to us, it’s so obvious if we pay
attention, now the rest is like, well, what are your
values, what are your priorities and what's
important to you and what do you love, what’s
your interest, and organize around that.

Brendon :
Well the question is, well, what’s your area?
You know people always ask me, I came here --
do you know what tell me, what is my passion?
Our seminar guys love that. Tell me what my
passion is. I don’t know you.
But on purpose, I get asked about this all the
time because of my car accident, they all say,
well, what’s life's purpose, what am I supposed
to do? I say life’s purpose? I don’t know what
your life’s purpose is, I think humanity has been
given a little bit of purpose; it’s like pretty
obvious.
Tell me what my life’s purpose is. I don’t know
you either. It’s true though. How many of you
ever face this? It’s like I want you to help me
figure out my passion, want you to help me
figure out purpose.
I talked about this, in my June Experts Academy
after a guy had a seizure in the back of the
room. The guy had a seizure in the back of the
room, I am talking about crisis management,
right.
I have no idea of what your life's purpose is, and
I personally believe really closely that
everyone’s purpose changes throughout your
lives. I mean did your purpose change when
you had children, yes or no?
Three quarters away the back of the room,
boom, big seizure, the group jumps up and
freaks out and everyone saying, doctor, doctor,
doctor, and just frenetic, freaky. Was anyone

there in June with me? Was that crazy? I mean
it was just like this crazy energy all directed
towards the back and people were just like out
of their mind freaking about it. You could feel
this and it was almost like, if you’ve ever been in
a bar when a fight broke out, that’s what it felt
like, did it? I mean it was crazy.

us,
especially in terms of managing energy.
People, it’s so easy to freak down, frenetic about
things. Sometimes I think the best thing that you
can do is be the most present person in any
situation, just be there. Sometimes that means
excited, sometimes that means calm, but being
the most present person in any situation means
that you are probably going to be the most
capable person to handle a situation, especially
in emergency, especially in emergency.
I remember, the guy has a seizure and people
screaming for the doctor and I am paying
attention to this, I see it, and now my job is to --
as I told you today, with events your job is to
what, manage two things; manage energy and
manage -- obviously, I got to manage the energy
in this.
I have this philosophy about what needs to
happen in emergencies, do you want me to
share with you?
I think all of us -- I am now saying this is your
purpose, I am not to that point yet, but I think all
of us, I think as a higher spiritual practice, one of
our main things we should do is meet poor
energy with good energy and help convert all of
bad energy into good energy, I think it’s just
basic.

Brendon :
I can just get the life’s purpose. Which one do
you want? Emergency, life purpose, I never
know. Okay, so here's my belief.
Most people don’t know how to handle crisis,
most people don’t know how to handle their
lives. But there is a very simple thing that I
know that I could do in a situation like that that
has to happen for the group.
Oh yes! It’s Friday night. It’s going to feel like
Friday night, I am going to go back in time with
this thing. So here’s when it was happening,
right. Any given -- here’s the process. If you
psychologically ever need to meet through a
crisis or something going crazy, what happens is
crisis happen. It's an event; it's always an
external event.
So I worked them through this energy thing and
basically what I do is I have everyone close their
eyes, because everyone was freaking out, I
said, hold on you guys, please put some good
energies. Everyone, please close your eyes
with me.
Some crazy thing happens, there is a big crisis
and you are managing the energy of a room or
you are managing the energy of a situation, you
are managing the energy of people around you,
because I really believe your job is to be the
most present person in any given situation,
especially in crisis.
Please say some prayers back to this person,
whatever way you prayer, whatever way you say
good energy, please send it back to this person,
he desperately needs it, please send it back to
him. He is okay, people are watching over him.
I don’t know what the situation is, we will find
out, keep your eyes closed and I just walked
them through.
So crisis, crazy, frenetic energy, everyone is
freaking out, oh my God! What step 1 that you
do?
I take just call my energy down, stand very solid,
and just hold the room. Everyone’s eyes closed
and I just hold the room, and I just start talking
about life.
Right, you instill calmness. Everyone is freaking
out so calm the situation down. That’s why
when everyone is freaking out, everyone is
jumping and running, boom! I stand there, and
then go, everybody, we need some good
energy, please close your eyes and then I start
talking.
Because of the situation, spurred it off, I started
talking about the purpose to life and what’s
important. And a lot of about, I think is really

There was an intensity in my voice if you were
there and if you're watching online, now it’s been
viewed by 41,000 speakers around the world.
It’s like case-study in crisis management I can’t
believe that. I just never anticipated this would
happen.
Brendon :
C! So now where might we go? Well calm, they
might ought to be centered. Connected, sure?
What did they say?
This became a case-study, because boom! I
just take the center of the stage, I am solid, and
there is an intensity, but then you hear if you
were at time, I am getting calm, and calm and
calm, and calm, and calm, but I naturally slow
down.
Calm! Well, look, freak out, calm them down,
not confident. That’s what most people do, by
the way. This happens all the time in poor crisis
management that always happens; they skip
something. They are like, okay, yeah, it's like,
okay, we are all calm.
There is a calmness to it and I am just talking
and I am talking about life, what’s important, I’ll
share some of the ideas about that, because I
think that might help you find your passion
tonight or at least step into it, or at least give you
some things to think about for tomorrow, so you
can come with that.
Now okay everybody no- no– no- it’s a
reconnection and that reconnection happens
through clarity. It’s about providing a
reconnection to what’s important. It’s about
providing a reconnection to our values, it's about
providing a reconnection to those we serve
about reconnecting other people back to clarity
to about what’s important.
So when we get into the technology and the
tools of all this that you really say, okay, I know
what’s important to me, I know what I want to
do. So the first thing is, when everyone is
freaking out when crisis happens you focus on
calmness.
After 9-11 great leaders after the calming has
happened, they are clarifying American values
and what’s important to us. That’s where they
go with that. It’s easy to go anywhere it’s easy
to give a pep up talk, that’s not the right answer
sometimes yet.
You focus on calm and still in calm right off the
bat. That’s what needs to happen. Most people
skip this step they think there is something
more. No, it’s really about calmness. It’s just
the same thing that when 9/11 happens or
something like that, and everybody is freaking
out.
First, what happens is, people remember they
freaked out. Now you've got to calm them down,
you've got them in a state in which they can
receive and now they have to receive direction,
and the only way to do that is provide clarity
about what’s important at the moment. Do you
all follow so far?
Your job isn’t to explain it, your job isn’t to make
it okay, your job isn't to motivate people to
overcome, that’s not at all. It’s like, no, it's calm
and in whatever way that’s appropriate for that
situation you are in. But once you get people to
calmness in a crisis, what's the next step?
Where we needed to go?
Once people have clarity, now it’s like, okay I
know, for example, who I am or what am I all
about, or what we are all about or what we want
to do together. Once they have the clarity piece,
then something happens. It’s like, that old thing
competence leads to confidence.
Does anyone have an idea? Shift their energy,
sure. This whole process is an energy shift,
sure. Where? Towards the solution. Well, let
me give this, in terms of those framework
junkies out there who like my frameworks.
It’s like now we know, now we can start feeling
better. Now we can start feeling better and then
your job to shift from frenetic into calm and
centered into direction and understanding. Now
it’s the time to put that last piece and the most
people go, jump too early, which is confidence.
That’s the time.
I usually use alliteration, so what’s the next we
are going to start with?
So I am teaching this partially because there are
people in the room who've asked me, how did

you manage that crisis, oh my God! That was
insane.
I mean imagine, 400 people from around the
world and somebody seizes, I mean it was very
serious seizure too and it took, I thought, it took
about 20 minutes. I mean it was so fast, I
thought it was like, boom that was over because
it happened, everyone freaked out, and the
energy was so high.
don't know so much about it, I don’ t know, I
don’t know, I don’t know! Calm! calm down.
Get centered, be present, get back in your
space.
Then clarify what’s important to me, what do I
really want here? What should I do? And once
you have a little piece of that clarity then it’s
about okay, I've got to give myself that credit
again that I can do this, I've got to believe again
in my message.
Boom! I got everyone centered, calm, I’m
talking about life, their eyes are closed people
are sending positive energy.
Well, between the time that happened and they
get the ambulance to come in, they had to clear
the row and get in, how long was that Dona? I
think it was 50 minutes. Oh it was a full hour.
I’m thinking, but in my mind, I am not walking
through this framework per se, but people, they
have been asking.
I have to believe again that I can achieve these
things. So I teach this all the time, anytime there
is this crisis energy and everybody has it in the
learning environment at some point. It usually
happens at this night at Experts Academy.
You know what, people, there's so much, there's
so much, it's like ah, and all I want to do is, calm
you down a little bit. How many people feel
already in this room there is calmer than there
was 20 minutes ago? Everybody feel it its just
calm.
It is the way you talk, it is the way you manage
your room, but at the end of the day, its how you
manage your learning too, because everybody
gets overwhelmed in this industry. That’s why
most people don't make it, because they don’t
manage all of this for themselves.
They don’t manage their entire emotional state
and so their learning stops.
What I would rather have is you work on yourself
in these areas, so that when we really ramp into
it tomorrow that you're coming from a places like
confidence.
I’m ready to do this and you're coming from a
place in which you understand that you can, so
that you're still open enough then we can
accomplish objectives tomorrow, which is
certainly to make sure you have a plan when
you leave here, but also that so make sure, you
have all the tools.
So many people say, how did you do it? How
did you manage it? What’s going on? Well, at
the end of the day, this is kind of what I walk
them through because you will see at the end of
the video is now that not only do we have
everybody calm and centered.
They know what’s important in life because I’ve
walked through that, well their eyes are closed,
talking about what’s important to us, then it's just
like, okay, I start pulling them out of that into a
higher energy, into their confidence.
Can you all do this, yes?
Audience :
Yes!
Brendon :
You just have to focus on it. Is this intuitively
makes sense to most people here?
Audience:
Yes!
Brendon :
It’s like you can’t go from here to here, which is
what most poor leaders try to do. You also can’t
go from here to here. You also can’t skip this
and you also can’t skip this or this. It's like the
essence of a framework for handling crisis.
You've got to do that, but you also have to do
that in your own life when you are freaking out
about something. People have to do this in their
own lives when they freak about something.
Even in learning environments, because what
happens in learning environment, it was like, I

So it's about managing this. So, I am managing
the crisis of the situation. The person is having
seizure, everyone is freaking out, and then I
start talking about the purpose to life.

To me, the purpose of life, again, I think it was
given to us and it's I think people will take a
really long search to find this unnecessarily
sometimes only because they are not paying
attention to what’s real, what’s here.
Maybe as part of the purpose, is to be fully
alive? The other thing we know, looking around
for those rationalists, looking around, what else
do we know? Well, we’re on a planet, we’re
lucky and we’re live. What else about us do we
know? Six billion people. What else do you
know about six billion people?
I think we all have to take a big long search to
find our values and our priorities and our
interest, no question.
Our purpose, I don’t know what your purpose
was, but I think humanity was given one. It's
pretty obvious. Look around the world, there is
a bunch of the people; we're all alive, yes?
Audience :
That we're all connected, yes. That we have
needs. What else do we know about all six
billion people? They are trying to die. No
wonder Armand is so rich. What else do we
know about all six billion? This is the only
universe so we know for sure with all six billion
people.
Yes!
Brendon :
Maybe because we were given the gift of life
and maybe you see as a gift or maybe you don’t
see as a gift. I don’t know how you view, maybe
this all happen stance whatever. I view life as a
gift. I know that because it was almost taken
away and now I got it to get my second chance,
as a big gift.
Audience :
No!
Brendon :
No, we don’t know that. No, there are people
who have actually been injured in the brain who
don’t want love. We all die, well that's part of
being fully alive. Yes, okay, what else do we
know about all six billion people?
I feel life is a big gift but if we’re all still alive,
maybe the hint from above or from the universe
or whatever it is, random chance for you, maybe
if you are alive, maybe one piece of your
purpose in life is to be fully --?
May be there is a little hint to that. People will
say what should I do? Well, what makes you
fully alive? What is it? People will say, what
should I do, what’s my passion, what’s my
passion?
We share the same feelings. No, we do not all
share the same feelings.
Audience :
We all breathe.
Brendon :
We all breathe, no. We all have the same
needs, actually, that’s incorrect; we don’t know
we have the same needs.
We only have 24 hours, that’s very true there is
a global universality there, yes. What else?
I don’t know, what makes you fully alive, that’s
the answer, what makes me fully alive might be
different than what makes you fully alive, might
be completely different than what makes you
fully alive.
I don’t know what’s your passion is, but perhaps
part of our purpose is do those things and make
us fully alive because we are supposed to be
alive. Agreed?
Audience : Yeah!
We live on a planet we know that, but what
about the people? Yeah, we all have energy,
yes. I can’t believe all six billion people eat. I've
got to change the speech now; I haven't thought
about that, they do, they eat.
They eat barbecue, ye! Now what else? All six
billion people are different, unique. Oh shit !
There goes the whole speech.
Brendon :
Don’t we all just want to leave more fully alive,
more vibrate, more in the moment just here, is
this neat?
Check it out, isn't it true? Nobody -- some
people might look exactly the same but they've
done twin study, after twin study, after twin
study, they are not the same.
