Reverse Path Forwarding (RPF)
Verifies that multicast traffic travels in the reverse direction of
unicast traffic, away from the tree root
Cisco Group Management Protocol (CGMP)
A proprietary protocol used by switches to obtain multicast
membership information for end hosts (deprecated)
