When children in the
United States lose a
tooth, they put it under
their pillows. When
they are asleep, a tooth fairy comes
and takes their tooth and puts money
in its place. Some children get
quarters, others get dollar bills.
The tooth fairy is not real. The real
tooth fairy is the mother or father.
They sneak in their child’s room at
night and put the money under the
pillow. When the children wake up
and find the money, they think that a
real tooth fairy visited them.
The story about the tooth fairy is
folklore. It has been passed down
for many generations. Tooth fairies
are not real.
