A graduation ball is a traditional party organized by secondary school students a hunderd days before final exams. I decided to describe this ceremony because it is always very colourful and leaves wonderful memories. My graduation ball took place on February 13th in the gym of my school

The actual preparations began 3 days before the party. Every class had to choose so called leitmotiv of the decorations. Then, the students shared the work that should be done and put their ideas into action. My class chose the motif of a salloon, which meant the execution a decoration connected with Wild West

The party had a traditional, undisturbed course. The ball was opened by the polonaise, a traditional Polish dance, performed by the third classes in turn. After that, this year’s secondary school leavers sang the song titled “Gaudeamus Igitur” and the short artistic part started. When it was finished, we had our first meal served by the catering from “Hutnik” restaurant in Stalowa Wola. Finally, the main part, I mean dancing, began and lasted to 6 a.m. the next day

The graduation ball is indeed as important event as a matura exam and every student tries to prepare himself or herself best. I am sure I will always remember my graduation ball as the most successful party in my life. I wish it had lasted much longer. If I ever received an offer to go with someone to his graduation ball, I certainly would not refuse
