Stitched on 14 count White Aida using 2
strands for the cross stitch and green backstitch,
and 1 strand for the black backstitch. This
design fits an AP34G card. Stitch Count: width
35 x depth 68.
Stitch the wording, changing the names to
your own. Try it out using tracing paper over
the chart first to help with positioning. Stitch
the remainder of the design then decorate the
trees using fine cord. Work a cord cross stitch
at the top of each tree then stitch the tinsel
making a loose single stitch for each loop. Use
matching colour embroidery thread to make a
small stitch at the bottom of each tinsel loop to
hold it in place.
Glue or tape the photograph into the card
and mount the design using the wadding
behind the work.
