* Q: I can see "** Can't use DirectX 8.1... Preview will be in software mode" What does it mean? A: It means it could not initialize DirectX for the preview window. It is not necessary because it can use GDI to show the preview. * DirectX 8.1 is only needed for preview (for performance) else it is not used at all * Q: I can see in log "Opening URL" and immediately followed by "Stop" and "Presentation closed". What's happened? A: 3 possibilities: 1 - Your firewall blocks the internet connection. Try to check if R7C is allowed to access internet 2 - The URL is invalid. Try to put exactly your URL into RealPlayer itself. If it cannot play it then you will not be able to convert it 3 - Your RealPlayer needs to be updated. As above, try to play this URL in RealPlayer itself * Q: The result is desynch. What to do? A: Use a faster codecs encoder (or 'non compressed' codecs) and reduce 'Synch Error' in Options progressively to reach the best synch. THIS IS THE KEY for getting a perfect synch movie on slow computers so play with it without moderation * Another reason of the desynch could be the audio codecs, try to use another one or no compression if needed * Q: The output AVI is not complete. What to do? A: It is probably the audio codecs you selected. Try to select another one (or no audio compression at all) * Q: I want to convert a video/audio to a .MP3 only but i noticed the result is a bit faster (or slower) than the original A: Try to set in Options, the original sound format you saw in the log when converting because the current MP3 encoder (BladeEnc) cannot resample the sound. It still is in my Todo * Q: I have '** Can't find any decompressor for I420 or 024I format'. What to do? A: Your computer does not have that codec (weird!). You can download it for Win2k/NT at http://www.sm-art.hu/link * Q: I cannot enable the URL Fetcher at all. What to do? A: You should not have this problem anymore because R7C can locate it automatically (remove 'options.ini' if necessary and restart R7C) * Q: I have a crash when/after converting A: Probably something or someone has unpacked/modified the original exe! (virus?)
