Humeral head:
Common flexor tendon from medial
epicondyle of the humerus, deep
antebrachial fascia, ulnar (medial)
collateral ligament of the elbow
Ulnar head:
Medial side of coronoid process of ulna
Radial head:
Oblique line of radius
Insertion
By four tendons into the sides of the
middle phalanges of the 2nd through 5th
digits
Actions
Flexes the proximal interphalangeal (PIP)
joints of the 2nd through 5th digits, assists
in flexion of the metacapophalangeal
(MCP) joints, and wrist flexion
