customary to shake hands
or nod one’s head and
exchange greetings and
names. n
Titles such as herr (Mr.), fru (Mrs.) and
frøken (Miss) exist in Norwegian, but they
have fallen out of everyday use due to more equality between the
genders and among social groups. n
