for some reason your story has been going like this
and you're ready for it to go like that?
How are you all doing out there? You made it to
Experts Academy, welcome. This is my favorite
personal event because this event, over the next
four days, will help you get your voice, message,
desire and dreams out into the world.
Everybody is here for a different reason but we're
all here on the same common journey. We're all
trying to figure out how to get our content out to the
world. It may be just your life story. You may have
a compelling story and if more people knew about
this their lives would improve.
There are a lot of people in this room who I know
have a lot more experience speaking, coaching
and doing a lot of things that I do. I’m a young
punk kid, but I figured out a few things in this
industry that I think will serve you. Some of those
things are very basic.
Maybe you have strategies. If more people knew
how to do these things you teach, their lives would
improve or their business would grow. Everybody
in this room has a common story or common
journey.
I know everyone in this room came here for two
reasons.
Our common journey is what I call the Expert
Journey, which is simply how do we get our
information out there? A lot of people attached
these weird connotations and words to it they’re
like oh an expert, I don’t want to be an expert; they
have hooks to that word “expert.”
First, you found your voice and desire and know
what you want to teach. You have information,
content, something within you that you want to get
out to the world and maybe you're just starting so
you're asking where do I start?
It’s sad because they miss the fact that sometimes
they need some credibility or someone to follow.
It’s not said in a weird way but have you ever
noticed that when you break your leg and go to the
hospital you’d rather deal with the expert then the
person who admits you? Has anyone ever had
that experience?
Maybe you did a preliminary search and people
said you have to get good at teleseminars,
webinars, podcasts, do seminars, coaching and all
of these things to be an expert. You have to figure
it all out and go- go-go. You ask where do I start?
How many people are in that bucket?
How many people are in another bucket where you
started this dream, you’ve been out there training,
putting your things online and trying for a while, but
This is about helping you position yourself no
matter where you are on your expert journey.
Some of you have been doing this for 10 years and
I guarantee your positioning probably isn’t as good

as it could be. Some are just starting and
wondering how to get their message out there in a
much focused way.
You’ll also learn how to become a
seminar leader.
How do you put something like this together? How
do you get 300 people from all over the place
come to a room for four days? How do you get
1,000 people or 50 people or whatever your goals
are?
Some will ask, “How the hell do I find my
audience?” Some will wonder why their audience
isn’t buying anything anymore. You’ll find all of
those answers this weekend if you’ll just hang with
me and have a good time.
We started in a hotel not too far from here with 42
people in the room. This tiny room of 23 at max
capacity required us to take out all the tables and
put in rows.
Can you do that, yes?
Audience:

Brendon:
I started with a little desk like this, my laptop and
computer speakers that I bought for $75. I had
one thing that cost more than anything I imagined,
the screen that we rented from the hotel and I was
like oh my God $800!
This weekend is four days of you trying to keep up
with me. I’m guessing most of you can do that.
There are some that can’t.
I’m going to hit you with so much information so
fast because we have a lot to cover. I’ve got to
teach you to become highly paid writers and
authors who get big books contracts.
We had 42 people in there, I’m controlling the
music from here and the speakers were under
there so it had this weird muffled sound because it
was under the skirt. It was the most ridiculous
thing but everyone starts somewhere, yes?
You’ll learn how to become highly paid
speakers.
I’m going to show you where to start and how to go
like this. In less than 18 months, how did I build a
multi-million dollar business in this industry, as an
expert? I want to show you that journey so I’ll be
sharing my story.
People ask me in the speaking, how did I do this,
saying you went from here to here overnight. It’s
because I have a very specific campaign sequence
you’ll learn this weekend. I’ve got to teach you
how to promote yourself as a speaker, not to start
at the $1,500 level, but at the $10,000 - $25,000
level.
The goal is that you all leave here with a checklist
of things. Even if you're starting from a place
where you’ve never done this before or you’re
extremely advanced that you can follow this plan
so you know what to do.
Most people, even the National Speaker
Association or other organizations out there who
have been trying to do this have been taught all
this garbage for so many years that used to work
but doesn't work anymore. I’ll prove it to you and
show it to you.
I’m guessing another reason you are here is
because you’ve gone to other seminars and events
that didn't give you what you needed in terms of
the tactical- “What do I do on Monday?” True.
How did I start out at $25,000 a speech? There
are a lot of you in the room who are probably
better speakers than me, yet as a basic speaker I
start out at $25,000. Why? Because I have a
campaign sequence so I’ll show you that campaign
this weekend.
This is about you getting that tactical of what to do
on Monday when you leave here. My challenge is
to motivate, inspire you and keep you here for four
days physically, be present with you in that way,
but more importantly, give you a plan.
We're going to tap into your potential. A lot of you
will have new ideas of what’s possible in your
business. Big ideas you never imagined to try
because now you have a plan.

Most people are doing what most people know
how to do. Is this true? Here is my assumption
about this group. You're all overachievers, you all
have content, life stories or strategies to get out
there or you're trying to figure out what that is.
way more than anybody else in the marketplace in
your industry.
We’ve got people in the medical industry, self-help,
in business and people from all different industries.
What I’m going to teach you this weekend works
for all of them across the board.
The challenge is you’ve been out there to a lot of
seminars with enough concepts or ideas and lots
of benefits but they never say what you should do.
The once we position you intelligently how do we
promote you out there, because unless you're
promoting and until you start promoting well you're
never going to be paid well, so we need to make
sure that you're promoting intelligently.
Why is it that some genius, super high IQ is over at
M.I.T, Harvard or wherever they are working in the
world, in some science lab and getting paid this
much as an expert, someone who has content
knowledge, and somebody over here like myself
might be out there getting paid way more, 15, 20 or
50 times more.
Has anyone been in this boat? It’s how I began.
It’s why I started this seminar. I was frustrated
going to seminar after seminar. They say make
sure to write a book proposal and get a major
publisher.
So, I thought, what does a major book proposal
look like? I’m a smart guy; show me what it looks
like and I can fill in the stuff. Does anybody agree?
My assumption is that you're already incredibly
intelligent people, passionate and ready to go you
just need a plan to figure out how to promote
yourself.
Why? It’s because I’ve learned to position my
expertise and promote it in a way that serves more
people and ultimately leads to more income for
me.

This weekend is about how to position you,
about positioning.
Therefore, we have to figure out what your
positioning secret is but also, what your
promotional campaign is going to look like. Many
of you are thinking, “I’m not a marketer.” The
reality is, everybody in this room might not be a
marketer but everybody in this room is a creator.
Am I right? Say I’m a creator.
Then you must figure out what your
position is in the marketplace.
What is your expertise?
What is it you're going to be known
for?
What is your content?
What do you look like?
What is your online presence?
Audience:
I’m a creator.
That’s positioning who you are, so when people
look you up or look at whatever marketing
materials you're putting out there, they know who
you are, why you're different and what value you
can add to them. We’ll go through this in detail.
Brendon:
We're creator’s which is partially the reason you
came here because you think, “I can create all this
stuff but I’m broke.” It’s true isn’t it; we all begin
the story somewhere. Everybody in this room can
relate to this.

The second thing we’ll talk about is
promotion. Everybody in this room needs
to learn a better promotion strategy.
You know your information is amazing and you're
amazing but you think why isn’t this income just
coming to me. I’m thinking this shit up, I’ve got the
Law of Attraction going on, I’m ready to go and
nothing is happening.
Unfortunately, in the last two decades the focus on
promotion has been to send out a brochure and
your business will grow. Has anyone tried that? It
doesn't work. We’ve got to get a more intelligent
promotion strategy for you, in which you're doing
Why? You can send out all the vibes in the world
but if you're not sending out intelligent promotions,

nothing will come back to you in this industry. You
must position and promote so intelligently that
people say of course, I’ll come spend four days
with you for thousands of dollars.
Brendon:
You're job is also to play with me this weekend. Its
four days. I need you to e present with me and
pull the energy within yourself. You need to be
here to make it through my weekend event. If
you’ve never been with me before, I guarantee it
will be a challenge for you energetically because
I’m going to give you so much info over and over.

walk me through this journey.

Of course, I believe in you.

Of course I need your help.”
It’s all about figuring out your promotion,
positioning and we’ll also teach you how to get
paid through that process, because at the end of
the day you need to make money to sustain your
journey and voice and I totally get that. I’m lucky
with this seminar.
If you're in la-la land and you can’t get focused,
present and here then this might be a whole mute
weekend for you. I need this weekend to be
compelling and powerful for you. The only way we
can do that if you’ll be here present with me. Will
you do that, yes?
We need to figure out your strategy for positioning
and promoting. This is a big deal. How many
have already figured out that you know inherently
that you're not positioning yourself well? How
many know that right now you're not getting paid
what you're worth? Say yes.

Raise your hand and say I’m here!

Brendon:
I think everybody in this room is probably not
getting paid what you're worth. We need to figure
out those three pieces, positioning, promoting and
getting paid.
You have traveled from all over and I know you're
tired. It’s Thursday morning and we have to crank
for four days. I promise I’ll be here with you for
four days, totally present and ready to go.
Once we figure that out this whole journey for you
is going to be from this story to this story. I think
you’ll find that incredibly valuable because how
many people know it’s your time for this? Say yes.
I’m probably more traveled and more exhausted
than anybody else in this room. I traveled
yesterday to get here and it took me 32 hours of
travel time to get here. I had to go from Fiji, but my
flight was cancelled. Then I could go again the
next day but if that flight got cancelled I wouldn’t be
here.
Audience:

Brendon:
Then we have to put you back there. This is a
journey I’ve been on, helped thousands of people
with and that you're going to have when you leave
here with the plan in place, the total knowledge
and checklist.
We were scrambling to figure out what to do. I had
to fly from Fiji all the way over to New Zealand not
a big deal, it’s only four hours and then I’m stuck
there but we got out of Fiji late so I missed my next
connecting flight. I’m thinking people might start
showing up but I might not get there.
This will probably be the only seminar you need to
go to in this industry this year if you just put it into
play.
Then boom, we miss the next connecting flight and
have to get another flight. Then it’s another 14
hours over to get here and after 10 days of running
crazy to make all of this happen.
Your job is to put it in play. Will you do that?

So, I get here and then I have to work all night to
prepare so 32 hours of travel to be here- how

many of you have traveled more than 32 hours to
get here? Travel time… where did you come in
from, Indonesia. Everybody give him a big hand.
goal or desire, something to get something
important out to the world. Did you meet people
like that?
How do we stay present for four days? We
support and engage each other. We get present
and passionate. We have to be here. Everyone
say I’m here!

That’s the best part of coming here.
Audience:
I’m here.
You're going to meet extraordinary people who can
follow with you on your expert journey who can be
on the same path. You can call and say I just tried
that crazy thing that Brendon told me about and it
worked. Did you do it? No. You should do it!
Brendon:
I need you to be here and to support the people
who are here with you in a different way than
you’ve probably done before.
You meet a lot of people that can be your
accountability partner, but also just friends along
the journey. I found during this journey, that
having people who are trying to do the same thing
as I am and calling them about what works for you
and what doesn't work, whether it was doing a
master mind when I began or just working with
people I met at seminars, getting that person who
can support me along the way was huge.
You're going to learn lots of business ideas and
concepts, but we need to make sure that you're
sharing it with each other, that you're sharing that
energy and passion.
Right off the bat I want you to meet each other but
in a different way. In a few minutes, I’m going to
ask you to stand and get into groups of four. I
want you to share quickly who you are, where you
came from and what you are doing now that’s cool.
I finally got into that place where I believed in my
voice and my potential. It was even more of a big
deal.
I love this question. What are you doing now that’s
cool? If you're not doing anything right now that’s
cool, share what it is that you want to do that’s
cool. The last thing to share is why you are here.
What did you want to get out of this weekend?
Some of you know my story and some don’t.
When I began in this industry, most people think I
began with my car accident which I’ll tell you about
later. That was the inspiration. I had a lot of
inspiration after the car accident to change my life,
to help other people change their lives, but I never
quite believed in my ability to get that message out
yet.

Can anyone relate? I knew my story, I knew I
could serve other people but I didn't believe that I
could get my voice out there, so for several years I
struggled figuring out this piece. Then someone
taught me about what I could do and how I could
help other people.
How many people met somebody cool? Say yes.

It was a shy girl named Sarah that began this
journey for me. This industry began with a little girl
named Sarah, for me.
Brendon:
I’ve been so blessed. I never get the people who
just want to make money; I get the people who
want to do something cool, who have a message,
Sarah was this girl in my public speaking class at
the University of Montana. I was a graduate
student in organizational communication and they
