Watery World
We may live on land, but there is water all around
us. Somewhere near your home, there is a pond or
a stream, a river or a lake.
Microscopic life
Wherever there is water, there is a tiny world of living
things, or organisms . Organisms too small for us to
see are called microorganisms . If they were your
size, you would think they were alien beings
from another planet. But some are so small that
thousands of them can fit into a drop of water!
