The comparison of two different forms of advertisement

 

Introduction
The purpose of this report is to depict the positive and negative aspects of two various forms of advertising on the Internet in Poland. After describing them it will focus on their effectiveness and changes that should be made.

Web banners
Web banners, small graphics placed on web pages, are one of the common forms of encouraging people to visit the site of the advertiser. The size of those pictures differ and can be adjusted to the website in the way they make it more attractive. The more impressive they look, the more viewers takes notice on them and are interested in checking it. However, if there are countless of such banners, it distracts from a web page's actual content and instead of increasing the effectiveness, they are ignored by internauts.

Popups
Popups, which are displayed in new windows after loading the site, are the most disturbing method of online advertising on the World Wide Web. The only positive feature of it is entering the site by accident by clicking on it. Unfortunately, they make people annoyed what results in installing popup blockers. Because of that they are the least successful way of drawing others attention to some products.

Recommendations
To make the Internet advertisements more efficient, one cannot exaggerate the number of banners which could effect negatively. I would also recommend that the number of popups should be decreased as they interrupt seeking information on the Internet.
