AvinaSoft's Timer application for Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: ------------ This is a simple Timer cum Stopwatch application. Main features are: 1. You can select your own sound file to remind when the timer finishes the timeout period. It can recognize the wav files that are copied under Application directory (for instance "\Program Files\Timer" or "Storage Card\Program Files\Timer" if the application was installed in to storage card). \Application Data\ \Windows \Storage Card\My Documents\My Sounds\ 2. You can switch on or off the sound notification 3. You can select a duration that you want the sound to be played 4. The application remembers the timeout that you entered last time 5. You can make the application to start as "Timer" or as "Stopwatch" Installation: ------------- Installation procedure differs depending upon the method you downloaded the application. If you have downloaded directly in to your phone, then nothing needs to be one (you wouldn't see this readme file), the application would be installed after it is downloaded. If you have downloaded the application in to your PC, it would be a zip file (you must have come this far as you are reading this file) containing this readme.txt and a .cab file. This .cab file needs to be copied to the device and run from the device. Connect your smartphone to your computer using the USB cable. (Prior to this you must install ActiveSync 4.1 or later from the CD that came with the phone). Open ActiveSync and click 'Explore' button (or select Tools/Explore smartphone. This button and the menu are enabled only when the smarphone connected to your PC successfully). Once you click 'Explore', you will see a window with a text "My windows mobile based device". Double-click on it to open. Select 'Windows', then 'Start Menu' and then 'Accessories' folder. Copy the attached cab file there. Now, in the device, from the home screen click 'Start' and navigate to 'Accessories'. Click on 'Accessories' to open it. You will see the cab file you just copied. Select it to start the installation. Removing the application from the device: ----------------------------------------- From the home screen, select ?Start? menu and then ?Settings? that would give a list of options.
